Art Gallery

Find something unusual at one of the antique or craft shops in the area, or visit one of the many antique and craft markets that take place during the summer months and pick up a bargain. The picturesque Fenland landscape provides local artists with a wealth of material to paint and portray, and there are many specialist art shops and galleries in the area where you can browse or purchase at your leisure. Woodbine Cottage Gallery at Whaplode Drove features regular exhibitions by nationally known, but moderately priced contemporary artists of figurative and landscape art in a range of media, from detailed wood engravings, etchings, ceramics and bronze sculptures, to paintings of a widely differing style. The Lincolnshire Gallery on Swan Street in Spalding sells all artists prerequisites, as well as exhibiting paintings, sculptures and pottery from local artists.

Skylark studio at Tydd Gote is a contemporary art gallery with changing exhibitions and workshops.

Auctions of antiques take place in Wisbech at Clifford Cross every few months.

Antique and craft shops can be found scattered around the Fens. There is an antiques trail which runs around the Long Sutton area, where visitors can visit a range of specialist antiques and craft shops and stop off for a quiet afternoon tea at one of the many village tea shops in the Fens.
